Our target

This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA. We treat that as a floor rather than an achievement, and we would rather describe the gaps honestly than claim full conformance.

What we have done

  • Pinch zoom works. The previous site disabled it with user-scalable=no, which fails WCAG 1.4.4.
  • The whole site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that meets the contrast requirement.
  • Text and interface colours meet the AA contrast ratio in both the light and dark palettes.
  • Every form control has a programmatically associated label, and error states are conveyed by text rather than by colour alone.
  • The site works without JavaScript, including the enquiry form. Nothing essential depends on a script running.
  • Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.
  • A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Headings follow a single logical hierarchy, and landmarks are used for navigation, main, and footer.

What is not done

  • No independent audit has been carried out. Our checks are internal, and internal checks reliably miss things.
  • No testing with assistive technology users has been done. Automated tools and a developer with a screen reader are not a substitute for that.
  • Any documents offered for download must meet the same standard, either as accessible PDF or as an HTML alternative. Until that is verified for each document, none will be published.

Telling us about a barrier

If something here does not work for you, write to accessibility@riseforge.io. Describe what you were trying to do and what happened. We will acknowledge within one business day and tell you what we intend to do about it and when.

If the answer we give is unsatisfactory, say so — an accessibility statement that only accepts compliments is not doing its job.
