AWS’s data warehouse, at its best inside an estate whose data already lives in AWS and needs to stay there.

When we reach for it

Analytics on AWS where data residency, existing pipelines or networking make staying inside the account the deciding factor.

When we would argue against it

It carries more operational tuning than its newer competitors. If the estate is not already committed to AWS, that is worth weighing rather than defaulting past.

What it looks like in delivery

Distribution and sort keys chosen from the queries that matter, and loads batched rather than trickled — the two decisions that account for most of the difference between a fast warehouse and a slow one.
