When we reach for it
Existing JVM estates, and integration work against the middleware, message brokers and core systems that already run there. We work inside those systems rather than proposing to replace them.
The language a great deal of enterprise infrastructure is written in, with an ecosystem and an operational literature that almost nothing else can match.
Existing JVM estates, and integration work against the middleware, message brokers and core systems that already run there. We work inside those systems rather than proposing to replace them.
We rarely start a new system in Java. Where a team is picking from scratch, Kotlin gives them the same runtime and libraries with far less ceremony.
Typically maintenance and integration: adding an endpoint to a service that predates the team, getting a build reproducible again, or putting an API in front of a system whose only interface was a database another application wrote into directly.
Where this appears on the site
We work in Java, and no case study or service page currently published on this site prints it in its stack. Rather than describe an engagement you cannot check, this space stays empty until one does. Ask us and we will talk you through it directly.
Tell us what it is running, what it costs you today, and what you need it to do next. A senior engineer will tell you what we would keep and what we would change.
