When we would argue against it
New systems go elsewhere, on the same hiring and typing grounds as Ruby. We would rather say that plainly than build something a client cannot staff.
What it looks like in delivery
Getting an application onto supported Ruby and Rails versions, replacing the parts of the test suite that only slow the build down, and unpicking the callbacks that turned a model into a system nobody can predict.
